Lorraine Music Academy had the honour and privilege of hosting Sanna Valvanne, a world renowned Choir Conductor from Helsinki, Finland on 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th December 2019 at the residence of Aubrey Aloysius & Lorraine Fiona Aloysius.
Sanna worked tirelessly and passionately with our students aged 4 to 16 years. She inspired engaged and motivated students to sing with their heart and soul. Her unique and fun style had a huge impact on the students by helping them to sing and dance with freedom. Sanna’s unique style of teaching is hilarious and impactful. Every individual under her direction feels the music from within and sings without restraint. Sanna conducts music with a pure heart and a great passion and love. She makes everyone; both the performers and the audience sing and shine. Students were thoroughly engaged to give all of themselves to the performance.
Students learnt unique vocal warm-ups and fun games to open up their voices without any strain. They learnt songs of various styles and languages and moved naturally to the music while singing.
The students of Lorraine Music Academy who participated in the Choral Singing Workshop learnt and performed their Choral Singing pieces very quickly and confidently. In Sanna’s own words, she did not expect the students to be so good and be at such a level musically.
We look forward to having Sanna Valvanne with us again.
