Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre is about Music, Singing, Spoken Dialogue, Acting and Dancing. We can indeed communicate a range of human emotions in Musical Theatre. We do this through the story, the words, music, dance, sound, and also other effects. Thus we can integrate all of this to impact the audience and the actor too. In fact, Musical Theatre has existed for quite a while, since ancient times.
You must certainly watch musicals like Oliver Twist, Annie, Sound of Music, My Fair Lady and Mary Popins. Also other classics like Wizard of Oz, Singing In The Rain, Beauty & The Beast, Lion King, Fiddler On The Roof, and many others in order that you may experience the magic of musical theatre.
Here at Lorraine Music Academy, students participate in a wide range of lessons. It includes Story telling, Word craft, Drama, Music, Acting, Dance, Sound, and other effects all integrated to impact the audience and the actor. It helps them in singing, expand their vocal and physical range and also in finding the actor within. Furthermore, it also guides them to learn and apply the necessary emotional, physical, and technical work too. Near the end of the course, the students perform in a musical or a live showcase presentation. This is done for family and friends.
It is necessary for a student to practice Musical Theatre. Regular practice at home is certainly important after each learning online session at the Lorraine Music Academy. It is important because the student needs to get ready for the next learning session.
